Great to experience evaluation and treatment of a wide range of populations from pediatrics to geriatrics in outpatient and acute settings.

Very long days. My supervisor is a rockstar for accomplishing everything she completed on a day to day basis.

Pretty good pay. Health insurance is okay. All the staff is pleasant and most work with a team approach. I would recommend working here in a specialty department.

Staffing is questionable most days its either sink or swim. Patient Nurse ratio is ridiculous on a couple of the floors. Most days its not safe with the ratio e.g. 1:7 with the high acuity of the patients. Little time to take care of the patients as needed on the day shift. Most days I feel like a pill pusher with little time to give adequate care. The charting is very monotonous.
