Pros

There is a Starbucks one block away.

Cons

Latin Markets likes to show that they are the most important conference company in the U.S when in fact they are only a group of young guys that think they are The Wolf of Wall Street and annoy people in the financial market every day. The company doesn't have a marketing strategy and they don’t care about their image. I received many times emails and calls from people complaining about LM’s calls, their clients are clearly unhappy. They will tell you to do stupid things such email blasts to 10,000 executives and you cannot say anything about their strategy, they never consider your opinion. Bullying and some Xenophobia are words that explain the relationship between manager – staff, they wait for you turn around and make jokes behind you just like kids in the High School, to be honest, when I was in High School it didn't happen. I’m foreign and I felt they just had no respect about people from my country and Latin America in general, they were always using stereotypes of us to explain why we were good or bad in certain things. When I was working there the office opened from 8AM-6PM, but they will ask you to work more or you get fired, they will say this indirectly in a meeting, then if you do and ask for overtime payment they will say you worked more because you wanted. To conclude I never thought workers would be treated just like the textile workers in the 19th Century in 2014 Midtown New York. The company is clearly starting to sink, and to be honest work in a Fast-Food restaurant can make you happier than wear a tie and be a “modern slave”. If you want to build a career or you are already an experienced professional you will be exposed to the most important people in the market, they can hate you and it may close doors in the future, be careful.

Pros

Diverse place with people from all over the world, young and energetic, and absolutely fair if you work hard. If you learn about the asset class these events represent, the name of the company definitely stands out within the finance industry. This was a life changing experience for me, and it was absolutely key for my success in the private equity industry. I admire the founders, and up to date, stay in touch with them. Their Inc. 5000 award was well deserved!

Cons

Could spend a little more time training their sales associates, that would definitely boost sales, and therefore bonuses for everyone.

Pros

Latin Markets was the first internship during college and I worked with them for 10 months. - Working environment is supporting to staff. People are nice, very friendly and come from diverse backgrounds all over the world. I felt like people at Latin Markets are my second family. It was fun to work there. I loved to work with them and contribute to the company. The manager was readily available for questions or concerns. I would work there again given the chance. - There were so many opportunities to gain new experience and skills in business field, working at Latin Markets. For 10 months, I had experienced a lot of valuable things; more than I would have ever imagined. I attended the conference such as Investors forum and CPI, which was held by Latin Markets. I had chances to meet and talk to financial professionals and experienced something that can't be bought with money. Also, you can expand your professional network. - Coworkers shared their sales goals and made a great effort to accomplish the company’s goal. When I was at Latin Markets, everyone worked only half day in the third quarter because we reached the second quarter’s goal. It was great to work by noon in the summer time. It motivated employees to work more efficiently.

Cons

Most people at Latin Markets are working very hard and they are passionate. Also, it's a fast growing company. So, you need a strong work ethics.
