Pros
If you know your stuff and are comfortable in getting on with it, you'll love it at LandTech. 100% remote, in the office or hybrid - you can work on your terms. Autonomy and independence is part of the culture where micro-managing is considered a dirty word that no one dare think, let alone say. Hiring the right people means you're treated like the responsible adult you are and free to deliver what you said you would, when you would. If you're comfortable with knowing what you need to do, when, and the milestones and metrics used to measure your success, you'll love it at LandTech. And while you're left alone (to get on with it), you're not alone. Direct reports constantly ask: "Do you need anything?" "Any blockers I can help you with?" "How are you feeling, in general - happy?" The People Everyone says it at LandTech - and it's hard to understand until you experience it for yourself - the people are genuinely lovely. It's like they intentionally don't hire anyone with an ego. There's no "I" at LandTech, it's always "we". There's no political BS either. You are free to speak your mind and challenge any idea, proposal or direction if you feel you can bring something alternative (or better) to the table. No one confesses to knowing everything, all the time. After all, it's a tech company, so knowing when to pivot and knowing when to double-down is all part of the humility of being agile, which is reflected in LandTech's culture.
Cons
I personally haven't experienced any cons, but if I had to surface anything notable I've experienced or seen, I would say that as LandTech was the pioneer for PropTech in the UK with the first mover advantage, it grew fast. With fast growth comes dealing with operational expansions by the day, where tactics often take priority over strategy. Strategy requires the luxury of time and tradecraft seniority to build tomorrow's future, today. Strategic guidance is light in some areas and departments, but as LandTech is expanding into new markets, building strategic competency has become a top priority.
