Pros
* Good pay * Decent benefits (for a small company) * Unique learning opportunities * Work from home * Hardware side of the business seems to be legit
Cons
* Janky tech stack (ALL Django, even the backend) * All execution, no planning. Tech debt impossible to avoid. * Questionable business decisions (e.g. offloading customer workloads to other clouds) * Low transparency, low communication, low empathy. Both business and technical decisions happen out of sight (with minimal input), and you either get on board - fast - or face the wrath of the C-suite * Good ideas are those that fit within the comfort zone of the CTO. Bad ideas are everything else. * Fairly political for such a small company. Brown-nosers have undue influence. * As other reviews have noted, this is the brothers first company. The success so far is admirable but their lack of humility and inability to communicate and plan effectively is a huge liability. * Was a fairly chill place when I joined but over time the good people left and the vibes changed. Now there's an undercurrent of tension, unending urgency, and suspicion.
