Everyone is so kind and welcoming, great benefits like fully stocked kitchen so you can make lunch in the office and even request groceries every week, and reimbursement for parking/ubers/public transportation. Projects are super interesting - span across all industries with a focus on healthcare. Most of our clients are hedge funds or PE firms so you help them make investment decisions which I find really interesting and I feel like I’m always learning something new. Amazing work life balance as well! People really care about each other at the company and senior managers are very invested in your personal growth. Everyone is super smart as well so it’s a great working environment where you can constantly learn from the people around you.

Honestly none - so far it’s great!

As a small firm, Lake Partners puts a lot of stock in all of its employees. It works very hard to build a team of very smart, friendly, and personable people, and as a result the accept-rate can be very low because of minor perceptions of a mismatch. As generalists, the project opportunities are generally varied, though certain types of work do come up with high regularity. Within those projects, we sell a lean and mean approach to consulting that delivers great insights to clients with a small team and fast turn-around. As a result, expect to learn and practice many skills on a case including end-to-end ownership at an early stage in your career versus other firms.

Fortunately, our clients often ask us back to do additional work once we've shown them our capabilities -- but this can mean that the types of work you do may be very similar project to project for lengths of time. That said, our projects are much quicker than some other firms' so within the 6 months that you may have worked with one client elsewhere, you'll have done multiple projects at Lake.
