Pros

- Some talented, hardworking colleagues trying to do the right thing despite the environment. - Exposure to chaos can teach you how not to run a business.

Cons

- Toxic culture where anyone suggesting improvements is quickly dismissed or pushed out. - No work-life balance: presenteeism is expected, even if you’re sick. - Management operate like cowboys — they lack the ability to run profitable projects, fire staff to exercise power and massage their antiquated egos, and seem to have learned nothing from the last time the agency went under. At this rate, they’ll run it into the ground all over again. - Recent acquisition only highlighted their dysfunction with critical roles are being made redundant even though those roles are more necessary than ever. - Frequently do not pay contractors on time, or worst case not at all. - Company tolerates sexist, misogynistic, and ageist behaviour — particularly from the senior leadership team – even when flagged with clear evidence to Human Resources.

Pros

What I liked most about working at LAB is that it's a place where people show up daily the way they are, most of them with an open mind, ready to do their best work. They're also quite competent at what they do, and I can't even count the number of times we had good light-hearted laughs with my colleagues and clients.

Cons

Sometimes I was so busy that I struggled maintaining focus on the fun aspects of my job. Luckily there was strong support from my boss and we had weekly group 'psychotherapy' (for the lack of a better word) EOS sessions with the delivery team so I could quickly snap out of it.
