This makes for quite interesting architecture and engineering work Excellent benefits (my family tested them thoroughly...) Plenty of flexibility around PTO/time and place of work Plentiful opportunities to learn new skills and deepen existing ones (there are a lot of great mentors here) A very friendly crew; fun and easy to work with!
Cons
For people who like their position's boundaries very well-defined: they won't be... adaptability and taking ownership of multiple areas is expected. Administrative/bureaucratic business systems are still being fleshed out so some processes can take a bit of patience Being in the energy industry comes with serious regulatory requirements so engineers who aren't excited about building in solid security & privacy measures may be frustrated
