Pros

Exposure to many areas of how a small business operates, so you do learn a good amount. However, I also didn't learn much of what I was promised, such as market researching skills.

Cons

Boss is extremely unprofessional, and even though it says "deferred payment" you will most likely not ever get paid.

It appears that there is a misunderstanding on what 'deferred' pay is which is understandable as it's not common in the USA. It's a 'bonus' of sorts, as and when the start-up hits net profit. Obviously pay cannot happen until we design products, and get profit from sales. CEO would not give a set timeline when the company would hit net profit as this is impossible to predict with new products in the market. Let's assume it's a misunderstanding by this reviewer. Please note internships are traditionally unpaid and no deferred pay even offered. This CEO offered the deferred pay as a benefit so when the company profits, so do the staff who helped to get it there. I do believe that if someone is doing projects they are interested in they do a better job so if there are areas anyone wants to work in, communication with the CEO is the best. If you don't ask, you won't get.

Pros

I learned a vast amount of knowledge during my time at LNK Innovations. Being able to work with professionals in different fields such as: Business, Marketing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Graphic and Fashion Design enabled me to acquire insight as to what it takes to be successful in the industry. Product Development involved working closely with the CEO and were also given the opportunity to provide our own insight into the development of these products. This proved to be beneficial both as a student and employee in the Engineering field. My colleagues and CEO were both friendly and professional. Working at LNK was a great experience that allowed me to sharpen and develop my skills as an Engineer.

Cons

There were some issues with the air conditioning system in the building, but that was promptly fixed.
