Pros
Rewarding work with patients, opportunities to learn a lot of skills (group, 1-1, family), very supportive team (will do parties, baby showers etc for staff), opportunities for supervision hours towards license. Never expected to do work outside of scheduled hours. Fully vested 401k.
Cons
Doesn’t pay well, miscommunication within upper management (I worked there 2 years and CEO had no clue who I was when he came to our office), some drama between staff, can be stressful working with individuals in early recovery, some staff didn’t do expected paperwork for their caseload and had no consequences. Unexpected changes of Location or closing of locations with little notice felt very unfair to my co workers.
