Pros

I created this account because I had a part-time temporary job on the side and wanted to complain about that company because I had a bad experience. Then I wondered since I'm here, I might as well see what's being said about the company I work for now, and have worked for for over a year and a half. Well honestly I was kind of surprised; I worked with the previous owner of ListMarketer and now work with the new owner and my experience is positive with both. I have to say that one of the best things is the environment here. From the first day I started, I was welcomed with open arms and every single person was really kind and forthcoming about whatever I needed. We're like a family and it's such a large factor to my work/life balance. Sometimes I feel like I'm working from home and I'm with my best friends because the people here have always been so great to me. Also, the scheduling is superb. I can pick my lunch whenever I want and have a whole hour to run errands, grab something to eat, etc. When I need to go to the instacare (which I have, a few times) there was no question about whether I'd get in trouble or something, I was free to go and explain what happened when I come back for record purposes, (like PTO and stuff). It's a relaxed environment, but with rules still intact. It's almost like we care about the company - WEIRD! What I've noticed is that people are more inclined to make these accounts on Glassdoor if they've had a bad experience and want to rant about it (which is what happened to me about the other company I wanted to rant about) and those who have positive or neutral experiences aren't really gonna take the time to talk about it...so I figured I would sneak in here and do so. This is NOT a terrible place to work at. The reviews on here before me...yeah they're not the best, but those experiences are not at all like the one I had. Everyone's going to have a job they hate once in their lives, but this definitely is not it for me - which is obviously why I'm still here. I had a great relationship with the previous owner too; he was nothing but kind, courteous and professional towards me at all times. And he always thought of ways I could do extra things here and there to aid in building my resume because we had one-on-one evaluations. Even though it's a small business, there were - and still are - more things for me to learn as anything to do with technology and software is constantly expanding and evolving. I feel bad for the people who have had such opposite experiences than I, but I feel like I thrive here and I love how trusting management is here. There's no micromanagement and since it's a smaller business, my ideas were (and are) always considered for new ways to improve the business. And that means a lot when your voice is heard.

Cons

Training was a little lacking to me. I feel that I was taught well, but things were pretty concise and structured in a way that needed further explaining for me. Maybe it's me, but I felt that that is something that could be expanded on...but I guess the upside to that is that I learned to soak up information a lot faster than I used to, and implemented what I learned quickly so it's helped me learn about things here AND at school way faster than before.

Pros

Happy hour. There's a 20 word minimum so this is to fill that requirement without actually adding anything of substance. Done.

Cons

The first day I started he didn't give me an office or even a cubicle. I was given a laptop in the CEO's office so he could keep an eye on me. I should have quit. That's on me. CEO is very sexist. He has issues with his alcohol intake. He's a CS graduate but couldn't code to save his life. The whole business is amoral and I regret every day that I was so desperate for a job to accept a position there.
