Pros

1. In my experience over the past 12 years, my leadership skills and knowledge of the industry were identified and rewarded with two significant promotions within the company. LHC expects nothing but the best from their employees, so if you are motivated and self-driven with an excellent work ethic you have the ability to advance your career. 2. High quality standards and outcomes for patient care. 3. Well respected company within the healthcare community.

Cons

1. Observation: The company appears to be very VP heavy, which comes with what I believe to be hefty salaries. Ask the question, are all these senior leaders truly necessary? 2. The healthcare benefits are quite costly and the max 2% merit increase fails to cover the increase in benefit cost, nor cost of living.

Pros

LHC group is a good company to work for. They offered training and support from management. I would say a solid company culture from my experience. I felt supported and checked on by my team.

Cons

Cons depend on the agency you work for. I had a good experience with my location and team.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
