Pros

-Nurses and therapists are amazing! My agency constantly had stellar reviews and feedback from patients. -Running benefits was quick in comparison to other companies I’ve worked for. -Base is decent -company CC

Cons

If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. LHC is an extremely large company that purchases struggling home health and hospice agencies. Their ‘vision’ is acceptable, but they need resources/people to back it up! Depending on your territory/market you can make a decent living but be mindful on how much competition you’re up against. If you reside in a city where there’s no limitations on how many home health/hospice agencies within that city, do not expect to make anymore than your base salary. It’s impossible. LHC repeatedly changes the commission structure.. plus, once you hit your goal for 3mo they double it so you’re constantly on the hamster wheel, trying to make a commission. Expected to make 60 calls every single week but have 2-3 agency meetings per day. Managers down your throat constantly about Medicare referrals (because they only make money on traditional Medicare) however, the majority of the patients now do not have traditional Medicare. AND, your only hope for commission is if you bring in traditional Medicare. No bonus, commission on other payors. 95% of home health agencies give commission on every referral. Not LHC. You have to answer to an executive director, clinical director, sales director, and sales manager while no one is on the same page. EVER! If you decide to get a job as an AE here, you must counter your base salary offer because that’s all you get! Health insurance is more than other companies I’ve worked for. Their marketing material is awful. Outdated and not creative.

Pros

LHC group is a good company to work for. They offered training and support from management. I would say a solid company culture from my experience. I felt supported and checked on by my team.

Cons

Cons depend on the agency you work for. I had a good experience with my location and team.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
