Pros
You learn a lot about the unique ecosystem of Hawaii. You meet lots of like-minded people. Get to go places that many people don't have access to. Meaningful and gratifying work. Some people you will work with are amazing!
Cons
Directors don't seem to be honest with Board of Directors. The majority of the executive team doesn't have their ears on the ground, and have ridiculously high expectations for employees, who are very overworked, very underpaid and have to deal with an incredibly limited budget- yet demand results. Management seems to have an attitude of "do what you are told and don't ask questions, or give your opinion". Quite a few people in the management team are not qualified to be in the jobs they are in, and got their jobs because they go to the same church as those hiring...
