Pros

- You'll work on a lot of v1's for high profile clients; great for a new graduates. - Annual ski trip, subsidized device plan, monthly game nights, beer keg, foosball and ping pong tables, and company sports teams. - Company is gaining momentum with Deloitte partnership, Brainstation acquisition, and a new coffee shop/co-working space. - Employees are fantastic, some of the best people I've worked with. Management has an eye for well-rounded individuals.

Cons

- Attention of management on the technology side is divided between Toronto and Costa Rica. Employees typically aren't aware of the open-door policy to speak to management with most feeling intimidated. Employees in the past have been fired for strongly expressing their concerns. No HR. - Run as an old boy's club (bro culture). Favouritism is rampant, be prepared to "fooz and booze"and beer pong for a promotion. - Roles are glorified, most architects there are intermediate-senior developers. I've witnessed poor technical implementations by an architect simply to avoid work. - No processes for career development, the general vibe of employees that are still there is that "they're comfortable" and okay with the status quo. If you want to hone your skills and master your craft, it will have to be on your own time.

Pros

Great place to be early in your career, with good responsibility and fun coworkers your age. Use as a learning period then start looking for better opportunities.

Cons

Slower, less engaging work (could be a pro though); management cultivates an odd greeklife-eqsue social environment that can limit opportunities for people who don't buy in; pay well below industry standard and minimal benefits
