Pros

Most co workers are great people. Management, not so much.

Cons

Communication, communication, communication!!! Low pay and if they can get by without giving you a break, they will. Expect miracles when they don't provide enough people to do the work. The only way to move up with this company is to have a brown nose and agree with everything that the "Boss" says. The upper people in this company need to wake up and stop announcing their visits. Come in during regular business hours and see for yourselves what your employees have to deal with on a daily basis. Then you would see that the top levels of management on the local level spend most of their time in the office and so are not even aware of what is happening out on the floor of the store. It seems all they are concerned about is keeping the overhead (payroll) low so that their end of year bonuses are bigger. Try spreading the wealth and give ALL employees an end of year bonus. You might attract better and more loyal employees if working conditions were better and you were up to snuff on the hourly wage for your employees.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
