Pros
The residents are wonderful and they truly appreciate what you do for them. It's a joy to go to work and interact with the residents.
Cons
This company stands high to the outside and it's sad to see it from the inside for what they really are. The company was outstanding when Emmett still was alive and ran the companies. Now, it is very clear that it is more about the money than it is about the residents they serve. They don't care about their employees or the dedication they have to their jobs. I was employed with the company for well over 7 years(I will not say an actual number because I know how crooked they are) and still was sitting just above minimum wage. New employees starting out were making within .50 cents of me and I had years with the company, such a slap in the face. It's a good job for people starting out but definitely wouldn't make it a career choice because there really is little room for advancement and the ones who run it will just force you out the door if you don't do or agree with their views. They don't care about their residents, they just want everything to appeal to get them in the door. It's sad when residents notice and tell others that they're nice to get you in the door then don't even say good morning. After working for the company and seeing it from inside, I would never move anyone close to me in or advise anyone to work there. They residents receive adequate care but they do not hold up to the high standards that the communities believe Koeslch Senior Communities stands for. Their reputation is held so high from the outside and it is truly far from it.
