Pros

- healthcare - learn broad IT skills

Pros

- Learn a vast amount of knowledge in different aspects - Medical Benefits are better than most - If you're looking for your first IT Helpdesk position, this is a good place to start as you can gain some knowledge and see how a badly run Helpdesk is and can be grateful for future opportunities

Cons

- Pay for the position and work are severely low. - They pay an average of 35k for a Help Desk Analysts when the market average in NJ is 45k. Most Tier One or Help Desk Analysts positions start you off at 45k or higher in NJ - The amount of work you do in this role will FAR FAR FAR exceed what you thought you would be doing. - You will see yourself doing work for all departments such as networking, level 2 and 3's "work" - Not sure what level 2 really does. Only 1 level 2 was knowledgeable the others just point you to google or their knowledge base leaving you feeling stuck as they don't know anything about anything. - The overall RDP system is always having issues - They receive consistent issues that they never deal with our look into, even if escalated the issue will be ignored. - Can go through 50 tickets in one day around 250 tickets in one week - Extremely understaffed - No leadership, no organization, no consistency, no repercussions for lack of work or work ethic. - You can voice your opinions or concerns and nothing will happen. - Several "level 1 techs" are extremely sub-par and get away with anything they want leaving you to clean up their messes - They let their clients walk all over them and do whatever they please even if it consist of troubleshooting and working on something we wouldn't manage or have done before - A lot of favoritism with employees - No room for growth at all, sometimes they tell you there is but realistically there isn't. - Overall there is a lot of work you will do within this company as a level 1 that should be escalated or handled by other departments. - I can go on with a lot more but just be careful with applying here, you can get yourself stressed out quick as soon as you open your eyes.
