Cons
Depending on the department and the industry you might be in, management applies the culture a bit differently. The culture is based on 8 commandments that are basically good; however, when it comes to choosing the bottom line (money) or the welfare of employees the company will choose itself. This is NOT bad but Koch places so much emphasis on the culture that if you are naïve enough you might think that your job is safe if you delivered all that it is expected of you… not so. As an example, If you job pays $55k in the USA and someone in India can do it for $10k your jobs is in real danger of being discontinued at home for someone in India. So the point is the 8 commandments are in reality for middle to lower management and employees. There is an expectation to almost “waspish” these 8 rules but for the higher management not so much in real application. This is definitely NOT illegal or even wrong but if Koch would not set themselves in a holy pedestal when you lose your jobs because the savings in India are too irresistible to ignored, it would not feel that there is not a the expectation of loyalty is only from the employee to the corporation.
