Pros

Nothing I can think of.

Cons

Awful work environment and toxic leadership. The review entitled “Star Far Away” (sic) is accurate to a T. They will trap you by convincing you to leave your current job then force you to take on low level, miserable tasks, and if you don’t like it (or push back), you will be pushed out. The female leadership here will discourage the folks in finance and accounting from taking “Donut” breaks (even though they have undoubtedly taken their fair share of “Donut” breaks themselves) or collaborating with colleagues, and if you do, this will result in reprimand. If, during any interview with this company, you can sense that the interviewer is a miserable person who hates her life, follow your gut.

Pros

* The caliber of people here is exceptionally high across every discipline. * Despite significant growth, KoBold remains agile; able to move from idea to real-world action quickly. * The culture is interdisciplinary, collaborative, and transparent, built on genuinely great people. * The company remains very ambitious, is resourced appropriately, and tackles very hard problems. * KoBold's ethics aren't just stated values; they're lived out in the everyday workplace. * Leadership is engaged and effective, holding firm on both the company's direction and its standards.

Cons

* Comp is competitive but given the caliber of folks it could be higher.

Pros

We’re all Explorers… Made one amazing (previously well-known) “discovery” using our ultra proprietary Artificial Intelligence technology!

Cons

Bait and switch recruiting tactics. Be prepared to be hired in with an important sounding job title, then given menial tasks commensurate with what would be assigned to an intern. If you express any discontent with that arrangement or the ridiculous workload (and awful, toxic working environment), be prepared for dismissal. Also be prepared for public ridicule and harassment for minor infractions (for tasks way below you and for which you will have received 0 training). This is what I have personally seen over the years, particularly within a finance organization run by 2 “large and in charge” ladies (both of whom are incompetent, among other things). Do not walk away from your current job to take an “opportunity” here. You will regret it.
