They are not what they claim to be - Customer Success Manager KnowBe4 Employee Review

Pros

Good onboarding Salary is average

Cons

There is no freedom or trust in employees. Transparency is there in paper but not in reality. I felt like it was more of a cult. A CSM is asked to handle around 200 to 300 clients. There is no place for quality and it is all about the numbers. CSMs are over worked and this is one of the reason most of them leave in a years time. Not a sustainable model and the managers are not competent.

Hey Knowster — thank you for providing us with this feedback. Transparency is extremely important to us here at KnowBe4, and it’s something we practice daily; you can see this through both our daily company-wide meetings and through our “No Door” policy. If you still feel like you’re not getting the level of information you need, we encourage you to speak with your management, reach out to Employee Relations, or talk with KnowBe-Wan, your direct and anonymous line to our CEO, Stu. Additionally, current industry standards show that our CSM’s are managing an average number of clients for an organization our size. If you feel like you need further support, we encourage you to connect with your dedicated performance coach who can provide you with tools and resources that will help you manage your workload while also growing your skillset. Thank you, again, for sharing this important feedback with us. If there is any further information you’d like to share with us, please utilize our anonymous suggestion boxes or reach out to me directly at any time! -Marije Stiebner, VP People Ops International

Pros

The product has some strong aspects, but it’s ultimately outdated, and customers are already planning to replace us at their next renewal.

Cons

The new CEO has been very difficult to work under. There’s a lack of structure and clear vision, and he hasn’t been able to inspire the team. Instead, the focus has shifted to constant pressure to perform, which often feels excessive. My manager is worried about job security, and that stress trickles down to the rest of us. I have been shouted at and more. HR won't do nothing. Turnover has been extremely high—people are leaving left and right. Someone I spoke with last week is already gone, and several more are expected to leave soon. Many of the new hires seem to have prior connections with the CEO or other managers, and it’s obvious who’s in the inner circle. Customer complaints are increasing, making it hard to stay motivated. Competitors are ahead, and we’re often asking customers to wait for features that take a long time to deliver—and don’t always work as expected. Instead of focusing on fixing issues, the company seems more focused on letting people go. This is a very toxic place.
