Pros

The schedule is -somewhat- flexible. As long as you set it straight the minute you are hired. If you are hired with an open schedule then you cannot change this later. You cannot have a life and work at Kmart!

Cons

There is a so-called "pay freeze" so I made the same minimum wage for 2 years of service. I was promoted to supervisor and was told it was a pay raise, but that never happened. I worked at the service desk where I was to be the cashier, do returns, answer phone calls, do western union, lotto, and many other things. Many times there would be no extra help and no other cashiers until later in the day. Doesn't corporate look at the turnover rate at this store? Its ridiculous.

Everything was a pro. That place was awesome to work for!

Cons

The only con is that is no longer a store in our community. Sadly, it went out of business.
