Pros

- Compensation I feel reasonably compensated for the work I do. - Flexibility Kinetic offers 365 work-from-home-days, and basically the same amount of sick days. It's nice to be treated like an adult when it comes to taking care of your health. - Increasing Community/Morale There's been a push lately to encourage a stronger sense of community, and bolster morale, which has had success. -OK Benefits Reasonable coverage. - Human Upper Management The management is in the trenches, and are very accessible. They're very welcoming, and willing to engage on a personal level. - People The people are really great. All the teams are fantastic, and great to work with.

Cons

- Communication & Transparency Often it feels like the employees are the last to know about changes that affect them. - Low Morale The nature of startups is there are ebbs and flows. Right now Kinetic is trying to create a sustainable plan for their financial future which, paired with poor communication, has negatively impacted morale. - Long Hours Given the nature of the business, occasionally (and much more frequently in the past) to meet tight deadlines, teams have had to stay very late, work weekends, etc. Efforts have been made to reduce this, but it's definitely a part of the package. - No Investment Options No RRSP matching, or stock options presently available.

Pros

Working for good people with good people on a platform objective that offers an endless road for growth and opportunity in the future. Company cares about the development of it's employees and provides great opportunity for learning within project work as well as opportunity for self driven initiatives for growth. Company socials, all hands meetings and weekly demos are becoming more consistent, seeing a stronger connection build within company's culture and communication. Communication saw some bumpy roads this year, but efforts for improvement are obvious based on learnings during growth which is nice to see. Job Perks: - Fully paid benefits with good dental, LTD and extended health - Paid gym membership/monthly fitness benefit - Excellent work life balance via flexible work hours, WFH days, Personal/Sick Days and Vacation time - In office massages - Delicious weekly lunches - Inviting and open team based work atmosphere, very collaborative. - Snacks/Coffee/Tea/Beer Fridays/Birthday Treats

Cons

Company operates on self driven work structure in a lot of cases, which isn't necessarily a con but it can be confused as a lack of guidance or management. Responsibility is given to employees to be kick starters for processes, development and activity; you need confidence and drive to best suit it.
