Pros

Decent work-life balance. Roswell campus is pleasant. High quality products, well respected brands. Co-workers are helpful and willing to take the time to share knowledge.

Cons

Extremely passive-aggressive culture and there is a lot of back-stabbing and blame when results are poor. The only folks who seem to stay around are the ones who came to KC right out of school and don't know know anything else. Many complain about the dysfunctional atmosphere but don't do very much to change it. Management talks about bringing in outside talent with new ideas, but almost everyone they have brought in quickly gets silenced and conforms to survive. Some stay a few years but are miserable, and often leave when they find a better opportunity. These situations are swept under the rug and attributed to poor performance - even if they had a great track record and worked at highly reputable companies prior to joining KC. Morale is very low and the same weak managers continue to get shuffled around even though they should be exited. Consultants continue to be brought in, identify opportunities for improvement and they never act on them. This is the most risk-adverse culture I have seen and they do not want to spend the money required to drive innovation. Short term thinking and cost-cutting to make results is the norm. There is lots of talk about vision, but not much action. Many employees continue to live in the past when they were the market leader and customers would pay for the KC name. Many old-timers are still in denial that their products are not unique and competition is eating their lunch. Wake up! There are no bonuses if you are not a Director even though they say in the interview process that it is being considered. There is a reason why this company is no longer on the 100 best places to work and lip service is given to annual employee survey results. When the economy starts to pick up, they will lose some talent to better companies.
