- No PTO for contractors, even if you work 40 hours/week. - The recruiter is allowed to tell you ANYTHING, even if it's not true about your role. For example, I was told I would get holiday pay for all of Intuit's corporate holidays. I only found out AFTER I was hired that I would get holiday pay once I had been employed 30 days. So when I was ~20 days on the job, and Intuit closed down for the Columbus Day holiday, I didn't get paid. I didn't have the choice to work that day either - I was just out a day of pay. - The health insurance benefits are EXPENSIVE. I can't afford it for my family of 5. - Other benefits (like 401k) have a ton of contingencies. It wasn't worth it to me to enroll in anything.
