Pros
- excellent sales training and experience - solid wage out of college - learning from people who have seen a lot of sales situations - experience in corporate structure - learn how to negotiate and cold call - manage a full sales cycle which is a huge bonus early in career
Cons
- need to consider the culture you want; Keyence is largely a top down org, all decisions are made for you and your input to change processes will not be considered for a few years. - path toward big career promotions is long (super long). Short term promotions are fast but it’s the same role with small pay bumps each time. - Individualism and new styles of employee methodology are mostly not welcomed because deviation is a threat to the way things are - commissions structure will struggle to compete with other companies especially technology industry - low employee diversity which is important for process innovation
