I should have known better than to work for a husband and wife team running out of a WeWork. They hired me full-time, then changed it to freelance, saying they were setting up payroll soon. My first paycheck didn’t go through. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they said they were switching accounts or something. Then they refused to pay me saying they didn’t like my work. I took them to court. They switched lawyers so many times, delaying proceedings until my lawyer quit.
