Pros
There are very few times in one's career that you have the opportunity to work for a company that can disrupt a sector that has obvious inefficiencies and is also a first mover in its category defining success every hour. Success is never a straight line and having worked in the corporate setting and a start-up previously, I know that nothing is guaranteed for these type of opportunities but success is worth all the mental battles and challenges. Team is extremely collaborative and working very well together now with a singular focus on online marketplace. Someone will be a market leader in the online marketplace for corporate events and Kapow has an obvious head start for a scalable business.
Cons
For someone that is looking for more stability in their career, this is not the right opportunity. Kapow is not in "maintenance" mode like other previously great growth companies like Groupon or GrubHub (which are great companies but at different stages now). If you like solving problems and can adapt to change quickly with an entrepreneurial spirit, Kapow will be a great fit.
