Pros
Because of its fast pace, Kano is a good place to develop and advance your career. You are able to gain exposure to wider experiences that could quickly advance your skill-set and strengthen your CV. In larger companies progression is often at a much slower pace, but at Kano it is possible to take the lead and "own it" when circumstances arise......and circumstance arose a lot! The innovation in Kano's products stirs team members to contribute whole-heartedly to the success of its products for people of all ages around the world to learn and develop through them.
Cons
Due to Kano's fast-pace, the company is at a stage where it hasn't yet established its internal identity and culture. Management have acknowledged this and have taken steps to rectify, but its just not there yet. Staff (from admin to leadership) have varied professional backgrounds and personalities, and different levels of acceptance. Many carry expectations which are not necessarily aligned with the company's vision. There are few boundaries and limits on behavior which means that unnecessarily rude behavior is often tolerated. Often, the rude behavior stems from the individual hiding their lack of self esteem, competence and/or experience. Rudeness is not directly promoted by Kano's management team (nor is the intention of management to exist) but due to the lack of set boundaries and limits on behavior, this has caused problems for many people. In a nutshell Kano lacks a strong culture and identity for team members to believe in and uphold in unison.
