It is linked to their performance cycle, and their increment as well as variable pay depend on it. Because of this, many employees feel they have no option but to provide positive reviews. This is based on an actual experience of how employees are treated. For onsite employees, HR sent an email containing a revised salary structure, terms, and conditions, along with a contract that had to be signed the same day. The salary structure offered was very poor, the contract period was for 3 years, and it came with very limited or no meaningful benefits. Employees were told that if they did not accept and sign immediately, their salary processing would be stopped. This created significant pressure, as salary withholding was repeatedly mentioned in communication from HR. When employees raised concerns and escalated the matter to project managers, instead of addressing the issue, they are threatening the employees and told to accept whatever the company had decided. The overall approach felt highly pressurizing, and no room for discussion or employee choice.
