Pros

I don't have anything to comment

Cons

Their open-rank offer of bang business school is very strange. three months are probation period. but BCB does not care. After 3 years, promotion committee consisting of assistant professors and senior lecturers, review if the faculty is tenured or not. If the committee members like the evaluated faculty (associate professors or full professors), the tenure is given. Otherwise, the faculty's contract is terminated based on the committee's personal preferences. More surprisingly, assistant professors and senior lecturers evaluate the higher-ranked professors. Have you seen any international case like lower-ranked faculty assessing higher-ranked faculty? I have never seen this kind of ridiculous assessment system for promotion and contract. So, many higher-ranked faculty left this school based on the committee members' perference rather than objective evaluation report for faculty . do not apply for the job vancanies, If you go over there, After the school uses professors up and abandons them, if their utilities end up. this business school is irreponsible and does not have any systematic and consistent policies for faculty promotion. Never consider this business school as your potential working place. BCB has very recently become a well notorious school for international faculty. No future at all. Do not go....

Pros

Two days on the faculty of Kimep

Cons

The University does not honor offers and job contracts. Senior management is taken over by capricious and incompetent transplants from North America, despite Kimep being a nominally government university. Local staff is cowed by them to such a degree that they are afraid to talk without permission of those they call "higher-ups". The situation is more reminiscent of a religious sect than a University. Written and signed offer means nothing and can be rescinded on a whim.
