Pros

There are clear standards. It is very organized.

Cons

I had my hand physically smacked away if I even hovered my finger over the wrong selection. It happened at least 20 times in the first 4 out of 5 days I worked there. The customers looked shocked. I would blow it off and make a joke to ease the tension but I cried every day after work but I was desperate for a job. Then about a week into training a customer complained to the mgr about the way the person who was training me had talked disrespectfully to me while I was taking his family's order. She had talked to me like that every day so I thought it was just me so it came as a shock that someone else noticed it. What would he have done had it been one of those times she had swatted my hand away? I had nothing to do with the man complaining but get the silent treatment since from the other employees. I understand their loyalty to their long time co-worker but I didn't have anything to do with the man complaining. Working in such an organized tidy place should have been my dream job but has turned into a nightmare.

Pros

Working at KFC has several advantages. One major benefit is the flexible scheduling, which makes it a good option for students or people with other jobs. The position is also entry-level friendly, meaning employees typically do not need prior experience to get hired. In addition, the fast-paced environment can make shifts feel shorter and more engaging. Many employees also enjoy the team atmosphere and develop friendships with their coworkers. Another advantage is the availability of employee discounts or free food during shifts, as well as the potential for advancement into shift leader or management roles.

Cons

However, there are also some disadvantages to working at KFC. The pay is often relatively low, usually close to minimum wage. The job can be physically demanding, requiring employees to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and perform tasks such as lifting and cleaning. The work environment can also be messy due to grease and food preparation. Additionally, the job can be stressful during busy hours, especially when dealing with long lines or high customer demand. Employees may also have to handle difficult or impatient customers, which can be challenging. Finally, work schedules may be inconsistent, with hours varying from week to week.
