Pros

You get paid. I also had a couple of really great coworkers.

Cons

The manager made fun of me, as did most of the coworkers. A lot of laziness, stealing boxes of cookies, standing around on phones, etc. area too small to move around in, dangerous. They would call 30 minutes before my shift and tell me not to come in because it was either too busy or too slow. I'd get kept over an hour after my shift ended. Got thrown on the line when I didn't have any idea what I was doing and got berated for not knowing what to do. We were combined with a Taco Bell so we had to know that whole menu too. The only discount was 50% off while you were working and you had to eat there. Got in trouble for not smiling when there were NO customers around. When I quit, two managers would not look at or speak to me when I turned in my uniform. Horrible.

Pros

Working at KFC has several advantages. One major benefit is the flexible scheduling, which makes it a good option for students or people with other jobs. The position is also entry-level friendly, meaning employees typically do not need prior experience to get hired. In addition, the fast-paced environment can make shifts feel shorter and more engaging. Many employees also enjoy the team atmosphere and develop friendships with their coworkers. Another advantage is the availability of employee discounts or free food during shifts, as well as the potential for advancement into shift leader or management roles.

Cons

However, there are also some disadvantages to working at KFC. The pay is often relatively low, usually close to minimum wage. The job can be physically demanding, requiring employees to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and perform tasks such as lifting and cleaning. The work environment can also be messy due to grease and food preparation. Additionally, the job can be stressful during busy hours, especially when dealing with long lines or high customer demand. Employees may also have to handle difficult or impatient customers, which can be challenging. Finally, work schedules may be inconsistent, with hours varying from week to week.
