Pros

Coworkers are the best, iPad data, growth opportunities

Cons

Management is terrible. They choose favorites, make promises they can’t keep, and could care less about their staff. Scheduling is really bad, making this job more stressful than it already is. You are overworked and not given options. When you’re sick, you better show up or you’re made feel bad and are in jeopardy of a write up. Plus you get no sick leave. In this field, you’ll get sick multiple times a year. And if you want to use your PTO, you probably don’t have any cause they barely give PTO. MAKE SURE TO READ ALL CONTRACTS BEFORE SIGNING. They will lock you in a pay rate that is less than other places and it’s impossible to get pay raises. (Even though they claim negotiable raises after certain milestones.) JAC used to be the best place to work until certain management were promoted. Now all they care about is money. The quality of services has gone down the toilet and they could care less. Good people leave left to right and the people that are still there need the money and are attached to the kids.

Thank you for your candid feedback. After considering similar critique we have recently moved to a block scheduling system as well as updated our hours of operation. This has helped increase the work/life balance for our team members and decrease any stress around scheduling. To help combat seasonal illnesses in our centers, we just rolled out a vaccination policy for our employees to maintain a safe environment for both our staff and our learners. For awhile now we have combined the sick leave and paid time off (PTO) benefits together to give our team more flexibility on how they use their time off. After our recent reorganization of the company, we are happy to have made pay scales and expectations of roles even more clear. This also allows us to make milestones towards an employee’s growth goals and career pathways within the organization as transparent as possible. We are sorry to hear that you felt that there was stress within your position. We actively try to combat stress and other employee wellness concerns through our ongoing employee Health & Wellness initiatives. Again, thank you for your feedback as we are always open to constructive criticism to help make JAC the best it can be.

Pros

Lots of support and rewarded for hard wor

Cons

The nature of the field itself can be challenging. Has a more politically left leaning crowd as far as employees and they will be a little rude if you believe anything different than them. For the most part people are nice.

Pros

- Comprehensive training and onboarding — far more in-depth than other ABA or healthcare agencies I’ve worked for - Clear, consistent expectations covered in training and written out - Supervisors are regularly on-site and available for support, and even if they aren't in the center for a day, they will answer a Slack or text quickly - Other more experienced RBTs and "support" staff are always willing to help or jump in when needed - The leadership seems to genuinely care about employees and kids - Feels like a team working toward a shared mission, not just a job

Cons

- The work can be fast-paced and demanding at times (but that’s the nature of ABA and healthcare) - High standards and accountability might not be a fit for everyone, especially those who just want to "do their own thing"
