Pros
Easy job that pays relatively well. No real gymnastics experience necessary. Great gig for students seeking part time work or people wanting to gain daycare work experience if you don't mind listening to the same annoying song 15 times a day.
Cons
If you are dreaming of coaching gymnastics this is not the place for you. Gymnastic coaches are not valued here because they have a micro managed system that anyone can teach. It's extremely difficult to get time off and when you do take a day off they deduct time from your PTO even if you don't use it. There are no benefits, no paid vacation. (I was promised a performance review and a raise before the summer and that didn't happen). The staff meetings are extremely long and often a total waste of time. If you want full time hours expect to work 6 days a week and even then you may not get the full 40 hours. So far there have been 2 weeks where we didn't work and we didn't get paid so be sure to plan for those. There is no clear path to advancement, either the owner likes and you advance or not.
