Thanks for the review! We are glad that our nannies feel they can come to us with any issues and get a compassionate response; however, last-minute call-outs, while handled well by our management team, are not something we want to encourage.
In response to the lack of work for an on-call nanny, I would just say there are many factors involved in successfully receiving assignments. As the review noted, families request nannies with whom they've had a good experience in the past. Other factors involved in being requested are punctuality, professionalism and quality engagement with the children. In addition, if a nanny is communicating her availability to the management team via our online scheduler, she is more likely to receive assignments.
Our business is growing, and we cannot hire on-call nannies fast enough! This individual's review, while accurate for her personal experience, is not a perspective shared by all of our on-call nannies, many of whom work 40+ hours per week and get booked 3-4 weeks in advance due to the high demand for their caregiving.
