Pros
I joined this company because I believed in the product and the team but everything has gone downhill.
Cons
All of us are burnt out and there's no end in sight. None of us have the resources or support we need, and instead we're all expected to stretch ourselves thin and be "on" 24/7--aka whenever the CEO wants something. Whether it's the evening, a holiday, or you're out sick, John will call or slack you at the slightest whim (usually about stuff that doesn't matter). We're all expected to work long hours and the company's gone through multiple rounds of pay cuts over the past few years with promises of returns to normal salaries that never materialize. Not to mention promises of bigger things too that never happen. The CEO is a LIAR, a narcissist and an extreme micromanager. He lies to employees and really everyone about things that are easily disproven. When covid started he went weeks without giving us any sort of business updates and then hit us with layoffs and paycuts out of the blue a month later. Even when he does provide updates, we never know how the business is *really* doing since we can't trust him. Instead of doing his job, he spends all his time micromanaging every department's daily activities. During performance reviews someone asked who reviews the CEO and his response was, "no one." The CTO is the co-founder but he is a yes-man and an enabler. The two of them are running this company into the ground.
