Pros
Getting to work with single folks open and excited for fun communication. The events were genuinely fun for me as a host and I loved getting the chance to help people make new connections - whether they be friendly or romantic. It was a joy and honor to help create a space where people would feel comfortable being vulnerable and authentic!
At the end of the day, it felt like getting to work with four and a half star clients run by a two star company
Cons
Corporate sets you up for failure as a host by making misleading (some might say false) claims. These claims take the form of *explicit* guarantees in advertising that end up meaning little to nothing once you look at their TOS and disclaimers. As the only in-person representative of Jigsaw that your patrons will ever interact with, this sets hosts up for fielding disgruntled customers while they are at their most vulnerable - trying to date. In the best of situations, this is uncomfortable as an employee - in the worst, it puts the host at risk. Upon hearing this feedback, corporate would rather double down on their practices and continue a high turnover rate across their multiple markets.
