Pros
Culture is everything at Jane. Because we are such a small company, the only way for us to succeed is to count on each other. Having worked for top-down style management throughout my career, I was extremely skeptical of how a "collaborative" style of management could actually work. Jane not only makes it work, but the company and its leadership continue to impress me. Everyone at Jane works for each other and for the good of the team. I have never seen anything like it and I am humbled and honored to be here.
Cons
The growing pains of a startup are something that should be expected. I only list any "cons" here to dissuade any potential hires that might think they have what it takes to work at Jane. The work is challenging and abundant at times, so if you are unwilling to lean on your team, you will fail. If you are selfish, have an ego to feed, or are here just for the money, you probably will not last long. Honesty and Integrity will weed out any frauds quickly. So yeah, you're gonna have to work really, really hard sometimes. But you know who else worked really, really hard? The '96 Chicago Bulls. And what did they do? They won. A lot.
