Pros
- Some of the people in the company are truly passionate about their work and want to make a difference - Some potential for good earnings for top sellers - Good amount of social engagement
Cons
- Constant dishonesty and lack of transparency (e.g. they slashed agent commission by about 20% and didn't tell anyone, just changed the formula that calculates your pay - it of course has come to the daylight very quickly) - Strong favoritism - it's a matter of luck if you will land with a competent manager or not, some people in leadership have no prior leadership experience and have brought very unhealthy business ethics(or lack of) from their previous toxic workplaces which they now enforce in Jacada. Multiple times I have comforted people who have left the meetings with my manager in tears. - Emotional distress is often caused by the "PROBATION" looming over you. Probability to get a kick in the boot was constantly verbally reminded to me. In the case of sales managers, 2 out of the original 4 remained. - As a newbie you will sometimes find your opinions and ideas to be dismissed and rejected before you even finished explaining them - The gap between Wilderness (parent company) and Jacada is huge - wilderness embraces change and Jacada just says so but the reality is often the opposite - You are expected to keep your head down and not to question. Questions are accepted only if they in no way challenge any decision made by leadership - anything else and people get really awkward. If you still choose to work there - accept that you should not ask difficult questions -Diversity embrace is only a front - I was the only person in management level that does not come from an English speaking country and being culturally different I can ensure you, different cultures and perspectives are only welcome at the "worker" level - everything else has to fit in a very specific framework of Jacada. - Mental health support that you may have seen in other reviews has been removed due to cost cutting - Being good at your job is not enough - Your peer performance reviews don't matter - 12 people who work with me filled this review and claimed that meetings with me are uplifting and that they love working with me and yet my probation got an extension on basis that I need to find ways to be more accommodating with others - Position of Travel Designer has almost no career progression options - Jacada will happily
