Pros
JVP is a family oriented business and, for the most part, treats everyone like family. The staff is generally up beat and spend time together professionally and personally.
Opportunities are given to staff members that show initiative and leadership in their respective fields, but sometimes to a fault.
Cons
JVP struggles to put the right member in the optimum position, often causing undue stress to the staff and projects. At times, this puts both the employee and the company in a position to fail.
As often with companies, JVP finds themself in a position of under bidding on projects in order to retain work. More careful consideration and marketing would put them in a better position of reasonable profit.
Single most important advice is to manage the staff and projects more efficiently. Having the correct capable employees in key positions will reduce stress and improve both the end product, but relationships with employees and clients.
Managing the workload with available staff is key to keeping a healthy work environment. Although it's critical to keep work coming in, being realistic with available manpower will improve confidence in both employees and clients.
