Pros

Ipsos is a good workplace for an unchallenging job where you will be able to coast 90% of the time, a consensus among several employees I have worked with.

Cons

Ipsos is a poorly run, mismanaged organization with seemingly no long-term future plan, which is incredibly worrisome given that survey research, Ipsos' bread and butter, is not a growth industry. Staff positions at Ipsos are a rotating door, and the HR department is practically nonexistent and perpetually incompetent, Ipsos does not create a healthy work environment - employees are unhappy, the work setting is not a positive atmosphere, and employees have little desire to socialize with eachother. The business has little-to-no investment in employee growth or development, and most opportunities for growth will come from employee departures. The company has, as a whole, diminished investment in important internal services, including offshoring certain key departments, and it's clear that the emphasis at Ipsos is not in quality service or products. Ipsos is also an incredibly bureaucratic organization where key issues can take weeks, or months, to resolve.

Ipsos Response

Ipsos conducts thorough employee satisfaction surveys continuously across the globe and has a battery of KPI's to monitor and analyze staff turnover and management performance at a granular level. Overall our scores consistently exceed industry norms and actually tend to improve, as Ipsos, which has over 16,000 employees operating in 86 countries, is developing its employee development programs. To your point about off shoring, like any industry leader we do have to make sure we stay ahead of the curve in terms of cost efficiency, so that our investments in new products and services keep increasing year over year while maintaining a good level of competiveness in the marketplace. This means that some production functions can be at times either automated or partly concentrated in lower cost markets. Any industry of a certain scale has the duty to revolve its operating model to remain relevant.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities and various locations

Cons

You work your tail off using gas, mileage, time, energy, tolls, and consistent but the authenticator who sit in the comfort of their home find any and everything wrong with the survey you fill out. Then, you don't get paid. Their portal that you are supposed to use while on location has connectivity issues or whatever reason they decide to blame it on. So far, I've lost $500.00 with this company. There are many other mystery shopping companies who don't try to cheat you out of money. If I had to guess, they use your pictures and get THEIR money but won't pay their contractors. I would suggest shopping for any other company besides Ipsos!
