Pros

I guess the one good thing I have to say about Intuit is that the pay is okay compared to other companies. It's not the best, but it's above other companies. The benefits are pretty good too.

Cons

So when you first start at Intuit, there's this leadership model you're suppose to adopt. They don't care what you have to do to fit this model, just fit this model and fit in with the rest of the company. It's like Star Trek and the Borgs. You will conform or suffer with bad performance evaluations. Don't expect to get promoted any time soon. Only the people who can spew the best BS can get a promotion. The worst part of this company is the politics and favoritism. Politics is bad. Favoritism is even worse. Well, the meetings are bad too. I mean, how can you get any work done if you have seven hours of meetings in a day? There are meetings about meetings. They lay off a whole bunch of employees and expect the existing employees to pick up the slack. Work life balance is a joke.

Pros

Great engineering culture, supportive team, strong mentorship, and meaningful intern projects with real product impact.

Cons

Large company processes can sometimes make onboarding and finding the right information slower at first.

Pros

Pays well, nice work notebooks, don't check office attendance until they need someone to fire

Cons

My whole team and management up to VP level are on visa or offshore. They're not interested in including other cultures. No direction except looking good for immediate manager. Lots of favouritism too. Expectation to accommodate offshore times. Tech is a legacy hodgepodge of unnecessary implementations that only we're made for the resume of the developer. People let go randomly, so no use to work hard or smart, only thing that matters is if the right manager likes you.
