Pros

The pros of working at Intrax are few and far between. They did put on a few nice social events for staff.

Cons

While Intrax touts itself as a "Cultural Exchange" organization, sponsoring J-1 exchange students on work/travel visas for a cultural immersion experience in the U.S., they are in reality nothing more than a visa processing center that could care less about the experience that their participants have while on program. I have worked at several reputable student exchange organizations, who actually go to great lengths to support their program participants through orientations and check-ins, but Intrax does none of that. Once a student pays their visa fee, that's it, if they so much as call to inform the company that they are having any difficulties they will be reminded that their visa is tied to their continued employment at whatever company Intrax placed them at (Seaworld, various tourist traps in Myrtle Beach and other resort areas, etc.) and that if they leave that employer they will have their visa terminated and be sent home immediately. I personally had to tell students that were being exploited and forced to work unpaid overtime that they couldn't attempt to change employers or they would be deported. Beyond the disrespect of the exchange students, management has no concern for employees professional development. Though I was hired to do partner relations, I was put on customer service answering phones 8 hours a day because so many other staffers had left and they didn't have enough support, so I left after 6 months (like 80% of their employees do).

Pros

During my Trainee program, I was surrounded by friendly and approachable people who were always willing to help me. The work culture was positive and collaborative, which made it easy to learn and grow. I gained valuable professional experience and felt welcomed as part of the team from the very beginning.

Cons

Honestly, there were very few downsides. The only real negative was that the program felt too short - I would have loved the opportunity to stay longer.

Everything, very disorganized training and learn as you go kind of thing but they smile in your face and make it seem as if their supportive when actually they are monitoring your every mistake and everyone is always afraid to show up authentically
