Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

Do not apply at The Woodlands locations for an accounting position if you are a man. I'm a woman and the hiring manager (also a woman) told me she didn't hire a man because he wouldn't fit in. Mostly a bunch of old ladies work in the accounting department. I was one of the youngest on my team and I'm 42! The HR lady told a co-worker of mine that they had raises of maybe 2% or not at all in that location (Spring, TX) for several years. The position I hired in for was a Staff Accountant position, but the expectation were for a Senior position. However, the pay and overtime (20 hours during closing) definitely wasn't for a Staff Accountant job. The management is disorganized, rude and belittles the staff. One lady was given a performance reprimand after only being there for 7 weeks! Communication is poor. Training is non-existent. IT support completely sucks. The accounting software is not an ERP. It is basically a giant database. If you want to go back in time 20 years in software.... go ahead and apply! I voluntarily left as life is short and I'm lucky enough not to have to work, plus found a better job already!

Pros

Good group of people in local office.

Cons

Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
