Pros
Interesting challenges to work on as an engineer. Chance to work with a stack with newer technologies and a collaborative team. Many chances to try new things and grow skills beyond that of a developer. Engineering manager is extremely good at helping people grow their career in the direction they want.
Cons
Leadership is bloated and often not aligned. The vision for the company is fractured and generally does little more than scatter the focus of an already small engineering team, which in turn hurts the quality of the product in the long run.
