Pros

Learnings. As it is a product based company, you can learn a lot.

Cons

1.) Job Security. If you are directly working with onsite people, then your job is at at most risk. Myself worked with onsite folks having 20-30 years of experience. No matter how you perform, they never get satisfied due to huge experience difference. Hence, they ask you to leave. 2.) No Team work Again, if you are working directly with onsite people, they is no concept of team work. You wont get any support from, them no concept of KT, and at the same time, they expect you to deliver on time. Those people have been woking in the same company for the last 15-20 years and they expect the new joiners to work similar to them. If you dont (ofcourse you cant, to be practical. No concept of KTs, no team work and still they expect 8 years exp person to work like a 30 years exp person), then they fire. I have seen firing 3-4 new joiners because of performance. To be honest, It was not performance. It was lack of "Common Sense" from onsite folks.

Pros

Giant international corporation with unlimited resources. Multiple locations around the country and the globe with tons of jobs that are open for internal transfer (with some considerations). Generally high pay range.

Cons

Giant international corporations treat you as an unlimited resource. They use "Unlimited PTO" model for Sick and Vacation time, which I feel is a misnomer and a disingenuous concept as a whole. Unrealistic fixation on making employees use AI with no clear plan or direction on how it should happen.
