Pros
Hiring process is quick, especially if they need someone right away. Benefits could be better. Co-worker tells me there is no benefit to help them quit smoking, but there exists one to help you with your heroin addiction. A transitional company; meaning if you are just out of college, the salary is decent; just don't expect more than a .75% raise, and use to make contacts to move on to a more competetive company.
Cons
Double talk. HR makes salary decisions not based on job performance or requirements, but rather on their opinion of you in an informal phone interview. Promised one thing, drags it out for weeks, then comes back with another 'take it or leave it' offer. Salaries are below the national average unless you are brought in as upper management. Company doesn't take into account the costs of living in differnt areas where employment is offered.
