Pros
Great leadership and direction, energetic co-workers, work-from-home options, and generous raises are some of the perks I have personally experienced with the consulting firm. Employees on government assignments are from different backgrounds academically and ethnically. Also, the company’s flexible work environment is ideal for seasoned consultants as well as those with ambition, confidence, and a 4-year degree who are just starting their professional career. The company is compliance driven with strong corporate ethics. High performers are allowed to self-direct and not be micro-managed. Consistent training model drives innovation on projects.
Cons
Some project assignments with the government have restrictions that prevent employees from participating in company meetings, events, benefits, bonuses etc. The client contract dictates what the company can provide as compensation and benefits to company employees on consulting projects. As a project team lead, it can be frustrating when trying to gain team cohesiveness and to get things done.
