Pros

Start out with 20 day PTO and gain additional day each year for a max of 25 days. Provide training budget for each employee every year and also able to attend vendor sponsored free courses. Pay is above average for the area. Several top notch engineers working for them. Company is very aggressive in obtaining new contracts.

Cons

Most work is government contract based and it is difficult to move from one contract to another when you out grow a position. Company has lost some good engineers who would have preferred not to leave but limited opportunities else where in company. 401K was not very good and the employee match was not comparable to other companies. Not able to sale back vacation when you leave the company.

Pros

Health and dental benefits on par with similar companies in this industry. 401K matching (small, but better than nothing!). PTO plan is great.

Cons

The company does not keep up with growth. Essentially the same amount of support personnal supporting over 500 employees now are the same people here when the company only had to support 200 employees. This means that the company is incredibly inefficient and that the customer (internal AND external) experience is last on the priority list. For example, we have 1 person paying all the invoices for everything. If she goes on vacation, nothing gets paid. You would think we'd have a team of 3 or more, but no. Just 1. I'm not aware of a company "vision." I don't know where we were or where we are going. Irrelevant probably. Management couldn't get us there anyway. ID says it is a leading company in the IT space. It still issues all employees Blackberries.
