Pros

ISN is a very dynamic company. I like working with all my colleagues from Boucherville, Vaughan and Lakeland and I look forward to meeting new colleagues from Canada and anywhere else in the world. My role gives me the opportunity to hear the heart of the company beating and this is very motivating.

Cons

In my life I always prefer to think that I am a part of the solution when something goes wrong. And I feel the same thing about my work. Perfection doesn't exist. If I think that a specific subject should be addressed, I speak with the person who can be part of the solution also. And we find solutions to improve the situation. ISN is a very active, dynamic company and the working and growing speed are very fast. We have to be able to express ourselves when we are unable to deliver the job because it becomes overwhelming. Too much work at the same time and short delays are difficult to manage. One of the challenge for the manager, directors, president and all other decision-makers of ISN is to take the time to hear what their employees say in order to find a solution to the situation. Words are good to hear but the real solution is action. Until now, I have always been heard. And I wish it will continue the same way.

Pros

Entrepreneurial atmosphere. Good ideas can get priority and momentum rather quickly.

Cons

They treat their people as disposable. They initially tendered an offer that I politely refused and wished them luck in their search. They adjusted their offer enough to make relocating worthwhile. A year and a half later, after implementing the big project they initially hired me for, after relocating and settling the family, they insisted on bumping me down to the initial offer - loss of title, loss of bonus compensation and drop in salary - with no warnings given. Take it or leave it - to the offer I initially refused.
